Community Policing

Fully implemented in 2001, the Community Policing Program works to establish collaborative partnerships with law enforcement agencies within our catchment areas.

The goal of this program is to help deliver services to victims of domestic violence seeking assistance through area law enforcement agencies. Crisis Center advocates work with area police departments to identify, contact, and educate victims on safety issues and their rights per the IDVA. The advocates also provide crisis intervention, emotional support and referrals to each victim.
