Fourth Annual Home for the Holidays Orland Park House Walk a Success
December 2008

Written by: Debra Marillo, Director, Community Relations

500 people crowded the Orland Park Civic Center to enjoy the fourth annual Home for the Holidays Orland Park House Walk on Sunday November 23, 2008. At the Civic Center, ticket holders enjoyed a shopping bazaar featuring one-of-a kind items and participated in over 50 raffles. Then they were off to visit some of the most fabulous homes Orland has to offer. Over $30,000 was raised to benefit the Crisis Center for South Suburbia’s mission to provide emergency shelter and essential services for victims of domestic violence. House Walk sponsors were Ethan Allen-Design Center of Orland Park, Letke & Associates, Inc. and RE/MAX Team 2000-Palos Heights/Orland Park. Participating designers wowed the crowds with gorgeous furnishings and exciting holiday touches. Participants enjoyed the creative highlights in each home from designers of Ethan Allen-Design Center of Orland Park, Avanti Fine Furniture, Carson Pirie Scott Orland Square Furniture Gallery and Wildflowers. Stunning floral arrangements were provided by Bella Fiori Flower Shop, Mitchell’s Flowers, Old Oak Florists, Inc., Sass & Class Flowers, Inc. and Wildflowers. Collector’s items from Anna B’s Antiques and Cracker Barrel Antiques graced homes with a touch of nostalgia. Next year’s House Walk is set for Sunday November 22, 2009!
