Prominent Tinley Resident is Honored by the Crisis Center for South Suburbia

Kathleen A. Mahoney, prominent Tinley resident, advocate for battered women and children and Senior Vice President of Founders Bank, will receive the Dianne Master’s Award at the Crisis Center for South Suburbia’s String of Pearls 30th Anniversary Gala on Saturday January 31, 2009. The event will be held at the Palos Country Club in Orland. Mrs. Mahoney has served on the Board of Directors at the Crisis Center for 12 years and led the Board as its President from 2001 to 2003. She is recognized by her fellow board members and Crisis Center staff as a dedicated advocate for battered women and children who is consistently on the frontlines of all efforts which raise support and consciousness about the issues around Domestic Violence. Mrs. Mahoney will share the stage with Phil Kadner, Southtown Star reporter, who is being recognized for 30 years of faithful and informative reporting on Domestic Violence.
