Mid-America Club Women’s Committee Reaches Out to the Crisis Center for South Suburbia
March 2009

Written by: Debra Marillo, Director, Community Relations

The Mid-America Club Women’s Committee is reaching out to support the Crisis Center for South Suburbia. The prestigious business and social club for female entrepreneurs and executives is sponsoring Connecting Over Cocktails during the first quarter of 2009. The purpose of the series is to educate its membership and the public about and raise support for the Crisis Center for South Suburbia’s mission to provide emergency shelter and essential services to victims of domestic violence in Chicago and the southern suburbs. Two cocktail parties will take place on Wednesday March 18 and Wednesday April 15th from 6-8pm at the newly decorated Mid-America Club located at 200 East Randolph, 80th floor in downtown Chicago (Aon Center). Each party features a raffle and proceeds from cocktail sales are earmarked for the charity. Complimentary light fare is provided. April 15th features a Silent Auction specializing in hard to find items. Attendees are asked to bring gently used women’s and children’s clothing to victims staying at the shelter. There is no charge for admission. Parking available at Imperial Parking in the AON building for $6.00 after 3pm. RSVP to Katie Trent at Kathryn.Trent@ourclub.com or call 312.861.1100.
