Lane Bryant Donates Clothing: Our Thanks
March 2009

Written by: Debra Marillo, Director, Community Relations

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia (CCSS) greatly appreciates the donation of clothing from the Lane Bryant store in Tinley Park where five women were brutally murdered in February 2008. We will never forget the victims or those they left behind. We are in constant prayer that the murderer is brought to justice for such a heinous crime that has changed the lives of the entire Tinley Park community forever. CCSS has enjoyed support from the Village of Tinley and its officials for over 25 years. This kind gesture from Mayor Zabrocki and Lane Bryant is another example of how well the village understands the plight of victims of domestic violence and takes action to help at every opportunity. Many of the women who come to our emergency shelter, which is the only shelter of its kind in the area, leave their homes with only the clothes on their backs. This donation will provide a supply of clothing that can be used for job interviews or for everyday use by the women. We are very touched by such generosity and carry the message of thankfulness from our residents as well.
