Crisis Center for South Suburbia Looking for Volunteers
April 2009

Written by: Debra Marillo, Director, Community Relations

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia (CCSS) is accepting applications for volunteers to staff its Community Ambassadors Program and the agency’s Speakers Bureau. Community Ambassadors will staff information tables at expos, conventions and fairs throughout the Southlands for CCSS and its Neat Repeats resale shops. The purpose is to hand out information about services and the resale shops to attendees to increase visibility in the community. Community Ambassadors undergo basic training about CCSS. Speakers Bureau Volunteers fulfill speaking engagements at churches, businesses, community groups, etc. about CCSS services and Domestic Violence. Forty (40) hour domestic violence training is required to be a member of the Speakers Bureau. Great opportunity for retired professionals or anyone who enjoys public speaking! Interested parties should contact Debra Marillo at 708-429-7255 ext. 127 or at debram@crisisctr.org
