Help the Crisis Center for South Suburbia Feed Homeless Victims of Domestic Violence
March 2010

Written by: Debra L. Marillo, Community Relations Director

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia (CCSS) is participating in the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s 5K Hunger Walk on June 26, 2010. The walk will extend from Soldier Field to McCormick Place and back on Chicago’s beautiful lakefront. Registration is at 8am and the Step–Off is at 9am. The purpose is to replenish the CCSS grocery shopping account at the Food Bank. This is critical in having adequate meals for the women and children residing in the CCSS Emergency Shelter. The Crisis Center for South Suburbia is looking for people to support CCSS in this effort by either walking or donating to CCSS. Interested parties can visit the CCSS custom Hunger Walk page at www.chicagofoodbank.org/goto/ccss to register to walk for CCSS or donate directly to the CCSS fund. For more information contact Rita M. at 708-429-7255 ext. 122 or ritam@crisisctr.org.
